FAQ
Not sure which service fits your needs?”
“I’m recently divorced and overwhelmed. Can you help?”
Absolutely — that’s exactly what I’m here for.
Divorce is tough, not just emotionally, but financially too. If you’ve been out of the workforce, relied on your partner for money, or never had to manage the bills before — it can feel overwhelming.
I’ll work with you to get clear on your current finances, help you understand your options, and support you through each step — whether that’s planning a new budget, reviewing documents, or preparing for settlement conversations.
We don’t just talk about numbers — we rebuild your confidence, together.
“My business is growing fast — is a virtual CFO too advanced for me?”
Actually, it’s the perfect time.
When your business starts picking up pace, it’s easy for the back-end finances to fall behind. That’s where I come in — not just as an accountant, but as a strategic partner.
I help you see the full picture: where the money’s going, how to price smartly, plan for growth, manage cash flow, and stay compliant. And I explain it all in simple, human language — no jargon.
Think of me as your part-time CFO who keeps the financial side running smoothly while you focus on the vision.
“I want to be better with money, but don’t know where to start. What can I do?” You’ve already taken the first step — by asking.
Most people were never taught how to manage money — so you’re not alone. Whether you earn well but feel like the money disappears, or you’re afraid to look at your bank balance, I can help.
We’ll start with a simple review of your income, expenses, and goals. From there, I’ll guide you step by step — creating a plan, setting up systems, and building habits that make money feel less scary, and more empowering.
It’s not about perfection — it’s about clarity, confidence, and control.
“I always relied on my partner to handle money. Is it too late to learn now?
Absolutely not. It’s never too late to take the driver’s seat.
Whether you’re newly single, divorced, or just finally ready to own your finances, now is a perfect time to begin. I work with many women (and men) who feel they’re “behind” because someone else used to manage the finances. I will help you build understanding from the ground up, without judgment—just support and smart steps forward.
“I already use Xero for my business and have a VA helping with the books. But I still feel lost—can you help?
Yes—and you’re not alone in feeling this way.
Having the tools and support is great, but they only take you so far if you’re missing the bigger picture. Many business owners use Xero (or other accounting platforms) and have admin help, yet still feel unsure about what the numbers mean, how to use them to make decisions, or what to prioritise next.
That’s where I step in—as a virtual CFO, I am not replacing your system, but I’d help translate your numbers into clarity, strategy, and action.
I will help you understand what’s working, where the gaps are, and how to confidently move forward. Finance shouldn’t feel like a fog—even when you have all the data in front of you.
“I’ve tried budgeting apps before and failed—how is your coaching different?
You’re not alone—tech tools can only go so far.
Budgeting apps are helpful tools, but they often don’t address why we avoid money tasks or how to make changes stick. When it comes to money, there’s often a psychological element. I don’t only give you tools.
My coaching brings the human side back into finance: together, you explore what’s working, what’s not, and how to build a rhythm that fits your lifestyle and, more importantly, your mindset. This isn’t about tracking to push yourself—it’s about empowering yourself.
“Can finance coaching actually help me reach long-term goals like FIRE or property investing?
Yes—because big goals need clear strategies.
Whether you want to retire early (FIRE), buy property, or simply stop living paycheque to paycheque, coaching can help break the overwhelm. I will guide you to map your income, expenses, and goals in a way that feels grounded and achievable. Then, we will work together to rethink your spending pattern, build up savings, and align your financial habits with the lifestyle that you (and your family) want in 5, 10, or 20 years.
“What if I sign up and realise halfway it’s not for me?
You’re not locked in—and we’re here to work with you.
Everyone’s journey with finance is personal. If you begin and feel it’s not the right time or format, please feel free to let me know. We will talk it through together. The aim is not to trap you—it’s to help you grow. I appreciate honest conversations, and you won’t be judged for needing to shift gears.
Most clients feel more empowered after they start—but your comfort and readiness are always respected. If, after our conversations, it is clear that it is not something for you, I will work with you to end it.
"I’m not sure if this is the right thing for me right now. I feel hesitant. What can I do?
That’s completely okay.
It’s normal to feel unsure—especially if finances have felt intimidating, confusing, or simply low on your list for years. The first step isn’t a big leap; it’s simply starting a conversation. I offers= discovery calls so you can explore your situation together, without pressure. Many of my clients felt uncertain at first too—until they realised how good it felt to finally gain clarity and calm around their money.
"I’m already emotionally drained from my divorce. Is this too much to take on right now?
We hear you. And we’ve designed this process to support, not overwhelm.
Divorce is deeply emotional and mentally taxing. But finances are one of the key areas that need attention—and getting support now can prevent even more stress later. I don’t just talk numbers—I will hand hold you in the divorce process, provide you with guidance, advice, and practical support related to finance – from concepts, procedures to various actions. I will help make finance matters related to the divorce manageable for you, one small step at a time.
This isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what matters, with someone walking beside you.
"What do I really gain from finance coaching? Can’t I just ask a friend or Google it?
Great question—one that many people ask.
Friends mean well, but they’re not always equipped to guide your unique situation—especially during life changes like divorce, running a business, or personal finance matters. I strive to structure my coaching programs in a tailored, practical, and emotionally informed way. It’s not just about budgeting tips—it’s about unpacking fears, setting up clear systems, and building long-term confidence.
You’re not just learning—you’re transforming the way you relate to money.
"I’m a mid-level professional without much extra cash. 1:1 coaching seems expensive. Is a group program less impactful?
This isn’t about choosing the ‘better’ option—it’s about what’s right for you.
I offer both group programs and one-on-one coaching/consulting to help clients manage their finances. These formats are designed with different needs in mind. One-on-one coaching offers deep, personalised support and is great if you need guidance on specific financial decisions (e.g., divorce settlements, business strategy, personal financial goals). Group programs are more affordable and still powerful, with a shared learning environment and supportive structure.
If cost is a concern, you may come join me in one of my group programs. They are mainly online and sometimes there will be meet-ups in Hong Kong or Australia, when time fits.
Not sure if my coaching / consulting is a suitable for your current financial needs?
